VOLUNTEERING
Highland Creek Elementary
volunteer opportunities are listed below. If you are interested in any
of these opportunities print and fill out the Volunteer
Sign Up form and return it to your child's teacher, or register
online here using the HCE PTA Manager. Here are step-by-step
instructions for first time users of the PTA Manager. If
every parent would volunteer for 3 hours per year, all of our volunteer
needs would be met.
Before volunteering at the school you must sign
in to the CMS Volunteer
Management System. This system will perform a background check on
everyone. All volunteers will need to register on this system.

- At Home
Volunteer (Tasks can normally be completed at home or after work
hours.)
- Autumnfest
(Help plan or volunteer for the event)
- Beautification
– Grounds (Help to maintain the outdoor classrooms)
- Book
Fairs & Pizza Nights (Assists with Fall & Spring events)
- Box
Tops/Retail Incentives (Help prepare box tops, etc. for
redemption every Thursday)
- Father-Daughter
Dance (Help plan the dance or volunteer for the event)
- Head Room
Parents (Plan and execute classroom celebrations)
- Media
Center (Shelf books, check in new materials & periodicals,
teach “book-care” to students, etc.)
- Mother-Son
Event (Help plan or volunteer for the event)
- Movie
Nights (Help organize event staffed by teachers)
- 5th Grade
Celebration
- School Day
Volunteer (help meet the needs of the school for volunteers
during school hours)
- Spring Jam
(post-EOG party for 3rd - 5th graders)
- Spirit
Store (Sell goods on Friday mornings, 8:30 – 9:45 am)
- Staff
Appreciation (Recognizes teachers and staff, coordinates events
of Staff Appreciation week & monthly Teacher Breakfasts)
- Yearbook
(Take pictures in classrooms, at events and assembles class pages
online; should own a digital camera)
