Dr Heath Morrison Visits Highland Creek Elementary

And a big congratulations goes to Highland Creek Elementary!

Dr. Heath E. Morrison, Superintendent of CMS schools recently visited Highland Creek Elementary school on September 26th. The enthusiastic Dr. Morrison shook hands with little people and big people alike. His one hour tour included a choir presentation, a question and answer session with six lucky students, a meeting with the third grade and 5th grade staff as well as meeting with the School Leadership Team and the Parent Teacher Association.

Last year Highland Creek made high growth as a school and students improved proficiency in every subject. Based on achievement results from the 2011-2012 school year, Highland Creek Elementary received North Carolina’s highest award and is now an “Honor School of Excellence”.
